Attenuated Patchcords

   A Lite-Linke product   Attenuated Patchcord

Description

An attenuated patchcord combines an attenuator and a patchcord in one unit. An attenuator is used to reduce the optical power in the transmission fibre. A common application is to balance the optical power between multi-fibre systems and to reduce the receiver saturation that limits the system performance. The attenuator can also absorb excess signals, as too much light can saturate the reference measurements.

Features and Benefits

  • Custom length with a full range of connectivity solutions.
  • Attenuation levels from 1-20dB.
  • Available in both singlemode and multimode optical fibre.
  • Fixed attenuation level.
  • No additional components required.
  • Light robust design.
